Overview

During that time, NFT was a huge thing. A friend of mine reached out to me for a quick project as we wanted to publish and keep this rolling. They already have their Graphic Artists and Designers who worked on NFT illustrations, Project Manager, and Marketing. They needed help on building the landing page.

Lilpeeps.club is 2345 cute mochi-inspired NFTs. It started moving from Telegram to the SOL blockchain.

Persona

Marcus, NFT collectors, and traders

  • Often joins discord servers for early access

  • Mint to trade, buy and sell

  • He likes NFT arts that are playful and fun illustrations

Wireframing

I usually start the design process with low-fidelity wireframes. This is the way I iterate through many design options quickly while brainstorming with the stakeholders.

Challenge

I came up with various iterations especially on the roadmap section because we need a layout that connotes a timeline but can be developed quickly given the time constraints we had.

Goals
  • On top, we want to highlight how many lilpeeps are there or left, the price, and they can input how many lilpeeps they plan to mint

  • In the second section, a short narrative of the lilpeeps to give the users these cute illustrations story

  • In the third section, the roadmap to inform the users about the plan once we Lilpeeps are 100% minted

  • And in the last section, the team who created and help lilpeeps happened (Kudos! Especially to our illustrators for these cute NFTs)

UI Design

Once we ironed out the approach we would take, I started creating the design

Fun and Playful
Since our characters are cute and there are few details on them, I opted to have a simpler layout and background to make them stand out.

For privacy reasons, the names of the team are not reflected.

The website has been taken down already and the project is no longer active.

Color and Typography

Color

I opted for a dark background to enhance the vibrancy of these adorable, colorful illustrations. Additionally, I utilized a bright yellow CTA to ensure readability against the background without overshadowing the charming illustrations.

Typography

I opted for rounded, bold typography to match the playful illustrations, ensuring an engaging visual experience on the landing page. This choice aimed to align the typography seamlessly with the illustrations' whimsical charm for a cohesive user encounter.

My Learnings

The project ended due to circumstances, but it provided valuable lessons for me as a Designer:

  • Communication is crucial, especially in a fast-paced project where we aim for quick delivery, leading to more asynchronous and online discussions.

  • LoFi First. To meet the timeline, I began by sketching before diving into design and consulting developers about the effort required. This approach saved design time and enabled devs to suggest iterations that were quicker yet conveyed the same message effectively.

I want to acknowledge our illustrators for their exceptional work in creating awesome illustrations.
